A Personal Prayer

Mitzi Myers from City Church spent some time with the Lord’s Prayer thinking deeply about what it meant to her. Then she wrote it out in her own language in this beautiful rendition. Pray along with her today.

Abba, our loving parent, you know me through and through and call me into your family that is in the making.  You have appointed no gatekeepers to this family.  No one is given the tasks of deciding who is in and who is out with you.  Your grace is abundant.  You call my friends and foes alike to your side.  We all need forgiveness.  We all need 2nd, 3rd, and honestly many chances to make better choices.  We all need your provision.  I see my own need, but may other people’s need be just as real and important to me.  May I offer to others what you so freely give to me.  May we honor your name, the name above all names, by the way we care for one another.  Motivate us and transform us by the love you have shown us in Jesus.  Help us remake this fallen world to look like your home, filled with your family.
