Accepting and Even Embracing Limits

Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
    you make my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    surely I have a delightful inheritance.  Psalm 16:5-6

As David prays, he gives thanks for the boundaries God has placed in his life. A part of that is the physical boundaries - the borders of his empire. But for David it was always so much more. He had the sense that God was directing him, limiting options, opening doors, and caring for him along the way.

What are some boundaries that you can thank God for today?

What are the limits that he might be calling you to accept (with gratitude) instead of fight against?

(And note that, just like Hebrews 12:11, there's the promise of a great reward as we live in those boundaries - a 'delightful inheritance' as David says)
