Drawing Near To God
Pay attention as you read these words, noticing what’s going on in your mind and heart. What does this invitation sound like to you?
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart… - Hebrews 10:21
Honor those thoughts and feelings. Maybe pause and process them for a moment. Maybe turn them over to God in a simple prayer.

For your consideration today, reflect on these things from this short verse:
Does this sound like a command or an invitation - what’s the difference in how it lands for you? Why do you think it sounds the way it does to you? What if it were the other of the two options?
Does it matter that it’s addressed to ‘us’? How is that different than addressing it to you, singular? To you, plural?
Near to God - what thoughts and feelings come to mind when you take that phrase by itself? Sit with it for a moment. Whisper it to yourself. Chew on it. What flavors emerge?

If you could take all your reflections from this time and put it in a single sentence, addressed to God, what would that sentence be? (Maybe try to write it)
