God Traces

“Christ’s love compels us… God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” 2 Cor. 5:14, 19

What drives you?  When you wake up each morning and think about your day ahead, what is your purpose for getting out of bed?  Are you just making it through, or are you part of something bigger going on in your life and in the world around you?

The invitation in the sermon on Sunday and in today’s passage is to notice God’s constant purpose in Scripture, his constant work to bring wholeness back to our relationships (with God, creation, each other), and then to join in.  Take a few minutes to celebrate with Jesus now… How have you experienced God's love in this last week?  Where have you seen God at work lately, healing old hurts, creating friendships, surprising you with moments of beauty or joy?  Where have you had a chance to be part of this work?

If you can’t think of anything right now, would you pray for God to help you be more aware and to notice him on the move today?
