The Baggage We Bring
Yesterday we looked at the faith we bring to the table when we need God to touch us. Today we look at the baggage.
While they were going out, a person who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. - Matthew 9:32
Yesterday we looked at the healing of two people who could not see. Today it’s someone who is demonized and cannot speak.
Some of us reading this today probably feel unable to see a next step or how to handle a situation; some of us no doubt feel unable to give words to the pain or fear or even dreams inside us; and some of us may feel demonized by rampant negativity and hopelessness.
Jesus takes you where you are. It’s okay to be where you are today. You don’t have to compare yourself to others. You don’t need to have it all together. These people in the Bible only got healed because they didn’t have it together and were willing to admit that and to ask for help.
What do you need today from Jesus? Talk with him about those things.
