We Were Securely Attached to God Before the Beginning of Time

We’ve been thinking about attachment theory this week and what a huge difference it makes to have the deep experience of being grounded in God’s love, feeling a secure attachment to God as our loving parent.

Today we’ll hear a great passage about how God wanted us, how God chose us, how God focused love on us. how God made us family - and all of this even before we were born. So ultimately, that means our secure attachment to God began before any of the crappy attachment issues with our family of origin began!

Take some time to meditate on these lines. Read them out loud a couple of times. Think about different phrases. Even turn on your imagination and see if you close your eyes if some helpful images come to mind. Let this be a time when you get reconnected to that original connection with God.
