What Does God Love?
Sometimes it’s helpful to remember what God loves. Yes, God loves people. Yes God loves creation. In addition, there are certain values that God deeply loves. The Psalmist puts it this way:
The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love.
- Psalm 33:5
The righteousness here may be best defined as “rightly related in the web of relationships” - think of connecting in good and healthy ways wishing your whole family system, neighborhood, soccer team, church, workplace, etc. And justice here is especially doing right by those facing hardships and disadvantages.

And what does it means that God’s love (implied to be God’s love of these things) has spilled over throughout the earth?
