Where Do Your Fears Come From?

Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
    - Luke 8.50

I don’t know about you but I have a hard time living out this verse. There is so much to be afraid of. It feels so hard to believe in the face of all the troubles in the world. But Jesus just comes right out and says it. He attacks us head on. Don’t be governed by fear but by faith. 

Some of my fears are legitimate; some are not. All of them tend to pull me away from Jesus until he helps me name what's really going on.

Take 2 minutes in silence to ponder this verse and to ask yourself these questions... and by the way, it's okay to set a timer :-)
