What we Hope Jesus Doesn't Know

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you."

     -John 15:16

On Sunday, we talked about the levels at which we connect with our friends. The Intimate Space is that space in the center where we so rarely let people go. Sometimes we want to keep people out of that center space because we are afraid that, once they see who we are at our core, they will leave. But Jesus wants us to know that he is already there. In fact, he actively chose us, even though he already knows our center. 

Have an honest conversation with yourself today. What things are you afraid to let Jesus know? Or even more to the point - what things are you really hoping he somehow missed seeing? What do you think would happen if Jesus walked up to you today and asked you about those things? Talk to him about that this morning.
